Help where it is needed most

Afghanistan is facing a severe humanitarian emergency. A long and painful history of war and violence has haunted its people for decades. Many have been displaced and are fleeing in search of a better life.

They live under the harshest conditions: without basic services, without reliable healthcare or education, without support for women and children – and in a shattered economy. These people urgently need humanitarian aid.

Direct help for those who need it most

Sustainable family aid

We help families in need directly and sustainably: with sewing machines, wool, or a few chickens – so they can take their fate back into their own hands. Around 80% of the families we supported were able to largely provide for themselves afterwards.

Education – especially for girls

We currently support 4 school classes with around 200 students, most of them girls. Our volunteers fought for these classes under the most difficult circumstances – for many girls, they are the only chance to learn.

Portrait of Farid, founder of the association

I am Farid

I fled Afghanistan as an unaccompanied minor. After a long journey, I arrived in Switzerland at the age of 15. Through hard work I completed a healthcare specialist apprenticeship – even though as a child I was never able to go to school. Now the time has come for me to help the people of Afghanistan. That is why I founded the association "Humanitäre Hilfe Afghanistan".
